Style & Serenity
Inspired by Africa and Balinese architecture, the property elegantly combines teak, volcanic stone and fine natural materials. From the moment you arrive, this harmony immerses you in a peaceful, refined atmosphere.
Nestled in the heart of carefully landscaped tropical vegetation, the estate stretches between the lagoon and the sugar-cane fields of south-west Mauritius. You enjoy the security and facilities of the estate’s 5-star hotel, as well as its private beach with sun loungers. Decorated by a renowned interior designer, the villa blends exotic influences, natural materials and comfort. Every space has been designed to create a warm, peaceful atmosphere for an unforgettable stay.
The Estate
Built in 2008 within the grounds of the Sofitel Mauritius hotel and fully renovated by interior designer Stéphane Parmentier. The bedrooms and living areas are arranged as separate, independent buildings. The house benefits from the hotel’s security service and facilities.

Infinity Pool
• Central to the design of the house, every room is arranged around this immense 24 meters infinity pool.
• With a depth ranging from 90 cm to 2.00 meters, the main pool also features a large shallow area, ideal for children or simply relaxing. The pools are not secured.
• The water is heated so that both children and adults can enjoy it throughout the year.
Private Garden
• Coconut palms, banana trees, palms and tropical plants surround the large infinity pool.
• Large stelae and stone pieces brought back from around the world are set throughout the garden. Blending into the vegetation, they give the outdoor spaces a distinctive tropical character.
• In the shade of the casuarina trees, beside the pool or on the large Balinese daybed, everyone can find a place to read, nap or simply enjoy the calm. Here, the days follow the rhythm of the sun, the water and nature.

Grand Suite #1
Right beside the pool, Suite 1 is probably the most distinctly African in style. High teak ceilings, indirect lighting, a dressing room and a large bathroom with a bathtub overlooking a small private outdoor area.

The children especially loved the beach and the short golf-cart rides around the estate. There is also plenty to do nearby: several golf courses, Le Morne, waterfalls, beaches... it is impossible to get bored.

Set like a jewel in the Indian Ocean, Mauritius became, for the duration of this project, the creative temple of Stéphane Parmentier. Creating an architectural bridge between Balinese, Mauritian, and European cultures, the interior designer explored a new aesthetic language, shaped by his uniquely distinctive conceptual prose.
From Toronto to Miami, passing through Paris and Saint-Barth, the interior designer navigates a wide range of architectural and decorative influences, with an innate ability to experiment. So, recreating Bali in Mauritius was certainly not impossible! “It’s a slightly crazy adventure,” smiles Stéphane Parmentier. The owner is a true aficionado of Balinese style. He wanted to rediscover that same aura in the southwest of Mauritius, where he had acquired this piece of land.
